Sun effects
The sun sustains life on Earth and images of the sun or sunlight have long been regarded with reverence. They inspire hope and peace and suggest new beginnings. They call us out of our daily grind to a faraway place where the imagination has no bounds.
Special notes:
- Crepuscular rays, commonly called sunrays, sunbeams or “rays of God” are all in “Rays”.
- In “Silver lining” are examples of the luminous edges of Cumulus towers as well as clouds brightly tinged with sunlight.
- Close-ups of the sun or skies with the sun’s disc evident can be found in the “Sun disc” subcategory.
- “Other sun effects” includes cloud shadows (in the sky and on the ground) as well as glint on snow and water.
