- Forced condensation: a burning stubble fire forms a small Cumulus cloud (a pyrocumulus) through convection at the top of a smoke column. The atmosphere is stable and would not have formed Cumulus by solar heating alone. However, the strong heat source rises with minimal dispersion through a quiet air mass, carrying low-level moisture up with it to the high condensation level.
