- A spectacular shallow lee wave made visible by a high sheet of Altocumulus clouds. Air rises from the left and begins to condense within a high, slightly moist layer. The sinuous, raked appearance suggests both shallow lift (low amplitude wave) and dry air in which the lifting, slightly moist layer is not able to support much condensation.
