- Scud joins a storm in a wedge shape and is a developing lowering
- W011436Z
- With showers around, this turbulent sky is forming pieces of scud below the updraft base of a developing Cumulonimbus cloud overhead. The wedge shape shows that air moves left initially, but is then caught up in the rising air which draws it to the right into the dark base. This developing lowering may become a full wall cloud if storm rotation ensues.
